Auditions

Out-of-state Actors:

We will be presenting The Comedy of Errors in the summer of 2024. Our season goes from June 21 through August 4, and these dates include rehearsals and performances. If you are an out-of-state actor and wish to be considered, please send a resume in addition to a video audition link. Your video audition must be a comic monologue. It doesn't need to be Shakespeare, but it must be comic: something that shows your sense of humor and your ability to be funny. Please note: Overdone monologues to stay away from: Phebe, Cressida, and MND Helena. If you want to read about audition suggestions, click here. ALSO, please include a song if you sing. Singing is optional, (please submit if you don’t sing) but if you consider yourself a singer, we’d like to hear you. The submission deadline is February 19, 2024. We accept submissions year-round of course, but we cannot guarantee consideration for the season if it is after that date. Please send to  info@camdenshakespeare.org

Local Actors:

We are still accepting local actor submissions. If you are local a local actor, please get in touch through the contact form below.

Host an actor

Actors are housed at the homes of local hosts who donate a room during the season. It is the hosts who make Camden Shakespeare happen. This is a great way to get involved and hosts receive a lot of perks. In fact, many actors and hosts have created strong bonds and have kept in touch long after the season is over. Please get in touch to learn more about the rewards of hosting an actor.
